
Derrick presently has teaching appointments at two prestigious Georgia institutions.
At Georgia State University College of Law, Derrick teaches seminars on Legislative Drafting and Legislative Advocacy and a course on Professional Identity. He is presently writing an interdisciplinary coursebook, focusing on subjects that can be taught across an array of courses. He has previously taught Race, Ethnicity, and the Law and Probate Practice and Procedure.
In addition, he teaches The Legal Environment of Business and Healthcare Administration and Regulations at the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business, and Workplace Law at the College of Professional Advancement at the Atlanta campus of Mercer University.
